INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY

Our Investment Process Is Focused On The Set Of Your Sail,
Rather Than The Direction Of The Wind

Over 50 years ago, a family investment brand began. An investment brand established by Donald A. Bernard Sr., who retired in 2010. Since his beginning, The Bernard Wealth Management Group has had a rule: to continue to build our family investment brand on our reputation; a consistent, no-nonsense one, based on guarding our clients' interests.

Currently, Donald A. Bernard Jr. and Donald A. Bernard III are dedicated to serving you and helping you pursue both financial independence and financial security. Our commitment is to provide an outstanding experience to you, our clients, their families, businesses, and foundations, across the country and within all regions of Northern Nevada.

We are more than just stockbrokers – we are financial advisors, and we each hold the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designation, which signifies knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.  In addition, we have also received in-depth training on insurance reviews, tax strategies, as well as estate planning issues and retirement planning.  Simply put, we intend to lead you in the right direction, do what we say we will do, and guard your best interests.

We approach every relationship using Stifel's disciplined, SIX-STEP customized investment process, which provides us the resources needed to help you in your quest to accumulate and preserve your capital and legacies through quality stocks, exchange traded funds (ETFs), government bonds, tax-advantaged municipal bonds, mutual funds, trusts, and cash equivalents.

This process helps provide an overview of your current situation, choices available, and what must be done to pursue your goals.  The process involves gathering relevant financial information, determining financial goals, examining current financial status, and formulating a strategy or plan for how to work toward goals, given the current situation, future plans, and potential risks.
