Donald A. Bernard II, is a Senior Vice President/Investments at Stifel's Reno, Nevada, office and has been in the investment industry for more than 30 years.  He helps clients manage approximately $400 million in assets and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, which signifies knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.

A fifth-generation native Nevadan, Don graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor of Arts.  He has been honored in Barron's Magazine as one of America's Top 1,000 Financial Advisors1 and the State of Nevada's Top 100 Financial Advisors2. He has served as chairman of the Saint Mary's Hospital Foundation, president of the Truckee Meadows Boys and Girls Club and the Prospector's Club of Reno, a board director of the YMCA of Reno, and past member of the Nevada State Olympic Organization.

Financial Advisor

Donald A. Bernard III, is a Financial Advisor at Stifel's Reno, Nevada, office and has been in the investment industry for four years.  He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, which signifies knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.

A sixth-generation native Nevadan, Donald graduated from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) in Orange County with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Public Relations).  He was a two-sport Division 1 Scholarship Athlete, as a member of CSUF's Men's Cross Country/Track and Field teams.

Donald began his career during college in 2015 at Newcastle Financial Advisors, where he played an instrumental role in business development and client relations.  In 2017, he joined Franklin Templeton Investments as an Advisor Consultant, where he covered the greater Houston, Texas, Metropolitan Area in the areas of practice management, asset allocation, and portfolio construction.  In 2019, he joined Stifel as a financial advisor interested in building long-term relationships and helping clients pursue their goals.  His job is to help his clients work toward financial independence by designing detailed financial strategies, taking into account their investment needs, risk tolerance, tax liabilities, and personal considerations.  He takes the time to get to know his clients, where they stand financially, and develops proactive estate planning strategies that reflect the needs of multiple generations.

Donald resides in Reno, where he enjoys participating in a variety sports, especially running, and outdoor activities at Donner Lake, playing both piano and guitar, and spending time with family and friends.

Deanna R. Kilgore
Client Service Associate

Deanna R. Kilgore is a Client Service Associate at Stifel’s Reno, Nevada, office and has nearly 14 years of customer service experience, most of which has been in the construction industry.

Deanna began her office management career when she joined Trench Plate Rental Co. in 2006. During her time there, she traveled to several branches throughout the country to troubleshoot office issues and provide policies and programs to better assist the company’s customers.

Although new to the financial services industry, Deanna plays a vital role with the administration of The Bernard Wealth Management Group and their clients.  She is the glue that holds the team together, given her enthusiastic attitude and ability to create and maintain strong relationships with all of their clients.  Her duties include reviewing client accounts for actions required while overseeing day-to-day administration through opening new accounts, managing account transfers, and assisting with trade support.  Deanna’s consistency, reliability, punctuality, loyalty, and trustworthiness, both inside and out of the workplace, are just some of her most admirable attributes.

Deanna was born and raised in Bishop, California, and has two adult children, one 12-year-old step son, and three grandchildren.  Deanna resides in Sparks, where she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, gardening, and competing in bowling leagues and tournaments throughout Nevada.
