He has been honored in Barron’s Magazine as one of America’s Top 1,000 Financial Advisors and the State of Nevada’s Top 100 Financial Advisors.* He has served as chairman of the Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation, president of the Truckee Meadows Boys and Girls Club and the Prospector’s Club of Reno, a board director of the YMCA of Reno, and past member of the Nevada State Olympic Organization. He currently serves as trustee of the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation, the Renown Health Foundation, and the Nevada Museum of Art.

A sixth-generation Nevadan native, Donald graduated from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) in Orange County with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Public Relations). He was a two-sport Division 1 Scholarship Athlete as a member of CSUF’s Men’s Cross Country/Track and Field teams. He currently serves as a board member of the Truckee Meadows Boys and Girls Club.
Donald began his career during college in 2015 at Newcastle Financial Advisors, where he played an instrumental role in business development and client relations. In 2017, he joined Franklin Templeton Investments as an Advisor Consultant, where he covered the greater Houston, Texas, Metropolitan Area in the areas of practice management, asset allocation, and portfolio construction. In 2019, he joined Stifel as a Financial Advisor to build long-term relationships and help clients pursue their goals. To do this effectively, he designs detailed wealth management strategies, taking into account their investment needs, risk tolerance, tax planning needs, and personal considerations. He takes the time to get to know his clients to better understand where they stand financially to address the needs of their estate. This includes estate planning strategies, legacy planning, gifting, family governance, and wealth planning concerns.
Donald resides in Reno, where he enjoys participating in a variety sports, especially running, and outdoor activities at Donner Lake, playing both piano and guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
